Center Organization
The UW Cardiovascular Research Center is housed at the University of Wisconsin Medical School. Its members are from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the School of Education, the College of Engineering, the College of Letters and Science, the Graduate School, the Medical School, the School of Pharmacy and the School of Veterinary Medicine.
Sixteen different departments within the Medical School are represented among the membership. Over 130 faculty and scientists with a diverse interest in cardiovascular research are currently members of the Center.
Center Administration
- Richard L. Moss, Ph.D. is the Director of the UW Cardiovascular Research Center. Dr. Moss is Chair and Professor of Physiology.
- Matthew R. Wolff, MD is the Co-Director of the UW Cardiovascular Research Center. Dr. Wolff is Chief of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine and the Tuchman Professor of Cardiology
- Jonathan C. Makielski, MD is the Director of Training Programs for the UW Cardiovascular Research Center and is the Director of the Training Program in Translational Cardiovascular Science. Dr. Makielski is Professor of Medicine (Cardiovascular).
- Barbara R. Weitz, M.A., is the Administrator of the UW Cardiovascular Research Center.
The Center is governed by a six-member internal advisory board.
